Home For The Holidays

It is so nice to be home right now. I can't remember the last time I have been home and haven't had some type of homework or studying to do. I love just relaxing and not having the thought in the back of my mind that homework is to be done. Today I get to go visit Alyssa at Bethel. I am so excited! I haven't seen her in like a month, and we haven't hung out in a really really long time. Tomorrow and Thursday I just get to relax again. My dad and I might go to Ft. Wayne to finish my Christmas shopping one of those days. Friday Matt comes home, but I won't get to see him til Saturday. Saturday evening Matt and I get to hang out for the first time. I am so excited and nervous at the same time but can't wait! Sunday I'm going with Matt to his family Christmas. That should definitely be interesting. Not sure how that is going to go yet...lol. I am just so thankful to be home with family who loves me right now. Have a great week!

It's definitely been an interesting 2 weeks. Actually not really interesting. I spent most of the past 2 weeks studying anatomy. However, today is a very happy day b/c I had my anatomy final and am done studying anatomy for a whole month! I am so excited you don't even know. I had my anatomy and abnormal psychology finals today. Tomorrow I don't have any finals. Wednesday I have philosophy and Thursday I have statistics. So basically I get to do nothing for the next week! It's amazing. I cannot wait until Christmas Break. There are numerous reasons but here are just a few...
  • I get to actually see Matt instead of just talking to him on the phone =D...I can't wait for this!
  • I get to go to Bethel to visit Alyssa who I haven't hung out with in a REALLY REALLY long time!
  • I get to spend time with my family.
  • I have NO MORE anatomy to study over break. This will be the first break I've had since school has started from anatomy.
  • I get to sleep in and just relax!

Needless to say, Thursday cannot come soon enough! Hope everyone has a great week!

I'm Sick

So this morning I woke up at 2:30am with the flu. Needless to say, I didn't sleep much from then until like 7am. I'm not really sure why I got sick. I haven't been around anyone who has been sick that I know of. Fortunately today was my light day and I was able to skip my one class. I'm finally able to keep some sprite down so hopefully the worst is over. I'm just really achy and think I'm running a fever. Hopefully I'll be better tomorrow b/c I actually have important classes that I really need to go to. I dunno. Being sick sucks!

Things I Have Never Done

So next Monday is my 20th birthday. It's really hard to believe that I'm actually that old. I definitely don't feel that old. In honor of me turning 20, here is a list of things I have never done. Enjoy!
  • I have never had a serious boyfriend (although that might be changing soon).
  • I have never run a full marathon although I have run 6 half marathons (once again, hoping that will change also).
  • I have never had a B in high school or college (hoping to keep it that way).
  • I have never been kissed
  • I have never been in an accident
  • I have never gotten a ticket
  • I have never watched the entire Little Mermaid (random I know)

Anyways. The last 20 years of my life have been pretty good, and I hope the next 20 are even better!

I Voted...Did You?

So today is election day and yes I did vote. I actually voted like 2 weeks ago b/c I had to do it by absentee ballot since I'm in Ohio but registered in Indiana. I'm not going to share who I voted for b/c it's my opinion and nobody else's. One thing that really bugs me, though, is when somebody doesn't vote and then complains for the next 4 years about who was elected. In my opinion, if you don't vote, you can't complain. So go out today and cast your vote so you can have the right to complain about whoever gets elected :) (I'm just kidding by the way. Voting is about way more than getting to complain...lol. Everyone should still vote though)

I cannot express right now how ready I am for Christmas Break. I am so tired of all the homework and studying. Sometimes I wonder how I'm going to make it through when I'm this tired of stuff and I still have 4.5 years left. Ugh. Then all I have to do is think how blessed I am to actually be able to pursue the career of my choice. God has blessed my with this incredible opportunity to actually become a physical therapist so the least I can do is actually take a little bit of time to actually study so I can become the best I can be.

Anyways, this weekend was pretty good. I didn't have too much homework to do. Friday I went to Cheddar's with my friends. It was such amazing food. Plus I got gas for $1.99! Definitely had to take advantage of that opportunity. Saturday I studied for my anatomy lab practical and worked on a paper for abnormal psychology. I think I'm coming along pretty well with both of those things except for the muscles I need to know on the cat we are dissecting in lab. I'll have to look those over tonight and tomorrow so I'm sure I know them by Wednesday. Sunday I went to church. I also was able to talk to a friend who I don't get to talk to very often. We talked almost the whole day so I didn't get too much homework done. That's ok though. Saturday I did most of the stuff that really needed to be done.

Well, enough of my ramblings. I need to get back to studying!

Awesome God

I was just doing my TAWG a little bit ago. I was reading in Acts where it talks about how we all must go through hardships in my life. Two years ago I would have read that verse and though, "Oh yeah. I guess life does have some hardships." Now I look back on the past 2 years and can truly say that I have been through a lot of hardships and trials. To be honest, it scares me to death to think that there are going to be more hardships and trials in my life. I know it's inevitable, but it still isn't an easy thing to think about. As I was writing all of this down in my journal, the song How Great Is Our God came on my iPod. It is so fitting for my life right now. I don't have it all together and my parents are still divorced, but God has been truly faithful. He has helped me through this rough time when there were times when nobody understood. When I thought nothing in my life was going right, God was there. I don't know how I could've made it through the past 2 years without him!

What A Week

This week has been super busy. Wednesday I had an anatomy exam and an anatomy lab practical so Monday and Tuesday I spent all day studying. Fortunately I got A's on both of them! Praise Jesus! :) The rest of the week I've been doing homework and catching up on things that I put off to study. I still have 3 chapters to read for Abnormal Psychology and 1 chapter to read for Anatomy. I'm so glad that my tests are over though. It's such a relief to actually be able to breath!
This weekend isn't going to be too eventful. I'm planning on getting lots of homework done. My mom came up for the afternoon today. It was really nice to see her again. We got ice cream which was amazing! I got buckeye ice cream which is now one of my favorites. I think it's an Ohio thing since I've never seen it in Indiana. Tonight my friend Amanda and I are going to watch a movie. Not sure which one yet. Tomorrow my grandparents are coming to see me. They're taking me out for lunch and want to see my room and stuff like that. I'm pretty excited about not having to eat the cafeteria food for lunch though. Woohoo! Sad I know. Sunday I'm just planning on going to church and probably getting homework done. Hopefully the Colts will be on tv here and I'll get to watch that game too! Well, that's all for now! Have a great weekend everyone!

What?!? She's actually posting?

Ok. So I know it's been a super long time since I've posted something. Mostly because nobody ever reads and my life is super boring. School has been going pretty well. I have 2 papers due this week. One is already done and I'm hoping to have the other done tonight. My fall break is Thursday and Friday. I'm pretty excited to actually go home. I'll be studying most of it though because I have an anatomy lecture exam and an anatomy lab practical the wednesday after I come back. At least I'll be home though. No more cafeteria food :)
This weekend was pretty uneventful. I had to go to Defiance to get a new phone b/c mine was being stupid. Then my friends and I saw MacBeth here on campus. It bored me to death b/c I had no clue what was going on. Oh well. It was something to do. Saturday I did homework, ran, and watched Notre Dame win! Sunday I went to church, did homework, and watched the Colts pull off a win too! Pretty boring for a weekend, but at least I didn't have tons of stuff to do.
Well, I better start my homework. Now you have a post to comment Alyssa! =D
